What the fuck is wrong with Congress? These are the people that are representing us? Jesus Christ. I feel like I’m watching a bunch of high schoolers sitting around arguing about what the prom theme should be. But instead of “A Night to Remember” or “Time of My Life” it’s PASSING LEGISLATION TO PROVIDE A BASIC RIGHT TO ALL MEMBERS OF OUR COUNTRY. I would hope that the voters in Georgia see this video and immediately vote this asshole out of office, but I’m sure that won’t happen. Son of a bitch this stuff pisses me off.

“I seriously do not get this country. The subservience to the Republicans by the media at least made sense when they were in the majority and held the Presidency in 2001. But this is 2009, the Republicans have been routed electorally for the past few years, everything the Republican party believed in failed miserably the last eight years and they have been exposed as total frauds, they released a budget with no numbers on April Fools day, they have been whipping up teabaggers and gun nuts into a froth for months and screaming about death panels because they have no ideas or solutions, and when they finally do release their health care “plan,” it totally and completely sucks. It is nothing but fail, fail, fail, from the GOP, they just lost two more seats in the house, they are going through a horrible (yet delicious) civil war, yet according to the media, everything is bad news for Democrats. You know what is bad news for Republicans? They used to be able to get elected and be incapable of governing, and as the House elections on Tuesday and the CBO score today show, now they are incapable of getting elected and governing. And yet somewhere, Chuck Todd or one of the other Beltway drooling class is typing up their next thought piece explaining how all of this is bad news for Democrats, and David Gregory’s staff is probably getting touch with McCain and Boehner’s Chiefs of staff to see if they are available for Meet the Press on Sunday. I can’t tell what is a bigger joke- the Republicans, or our failed media experiment. Three decades of screaming liberal media bias is about the only smart long-term thing republicans have done in my lifetime.”

That’s right - Tim is back in Boston, and after a full two weeks or so without a post I have LOTS to talk about. But we can save that for tomorrow or Monday, today will be reserved for basking in the glow of my return.

For those that care - San Francisco is a very fun city and the Napa Valley is spectacular. I will definitely return to Northern California because there are still some vineyards that I want to try and things I want to see. I would also like to take a moment to thank whomever first thought “you know what? Let’s go up to Napa Valley and stop in at all those vineyards and see if we can test their wine.” What a great idea.

Anyway - good work by Matt and Greg while I was gone, although I’m disappointed in your lack of Celtic’s coverage. They have looked absolutely dominant so far this year.

Yes, deficits are scary. The problem is that every dollar we don’t spend now in getting people jobs is hundreds of dollars we won’t get in the future from income taxes and general economic productivity because these unemployed people, especially young people, are being damaged and that damage will last at least 15 years into their careers.

First Fort Hood and now this…..what the hell is wrong with people in this world!!! Where are the parents that should be teaching these fuckin kids at a young age that it is not ok to shoot or hurt people. Do the parents of these people think that it is the job of the church and schools to instil values, morals, and the basic ability of right versus wrong? Do they think that these kids will learn on their own?

Orlando, Florida (CNN) — At least seven people with serious gunshot wounds were brought out of an Orlando, Florida, office building Friday, a spokeswoman with the city fire department said.

An Orlando Police Department spokeswoman identified the alleged shooter as Jason Rodriguez, who used to work in the building. He is still at large, said John Tormos of the Orlando Fire Department.

A spokesman for the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, which is helping the city police department, said investigators are looking for a man wearing a blue Polo shirt, gray vest and blue jeans.

“We’re in a search mode for the gunman,” said Jim Solomons, a spokesman for the sheriff’s office.
